TMF Building Products, LLC was founded by two brothers in the
custom home building industry. Clip-Vent is the result of more than 40
years of combined building experience and was developed because there
was no comparable venting alternative. Standard vent chutes available
on the market were either too flimsy, wouldn’t fit all rafter bays, or
stop air infiltration. So for years, this same basic system was employed
by us using field applied furring strips; nailed to the sides of rafters
to create an air channel. The foam board was installed against these
cleats and secured in place with yet another cleat. The resulting system
was successful, but proved to be very labor intensive. With labor savings
in mind, the new, innovative Clip-Vent product was designed. Clip-Vent
is the product to use if you are looking for the finest venting method
available to connect between your soffit and ridge vent.
